Where to go this Weekend: Oranjezicht City Farm Market

always-say-yes-to-brunch

Everyone needs a go-to place that makes their soul happy. Mine is definitely Oranjezicht City Farm Market. Its basic bitch of me, I know, but they have Gelato, amazing food and beautiful cut flowers. What more could you want?! It’s basically a magical place.

I’ve been a few times, and every item I’ve tasted has been incredible. My favourite is the Moro Gelato ice cream, but I’ve also sampled amazing buttery breakfast croissants with bacon enough to satisfy any weekend meal cheat, perfectly refreshing litchi iced tea and some amazing healthy-not-healthy dark chocolate and honey coated almonds.

Do yourself a favour and pop in this Saturday. You can pretend you’re just there to buy fresh organic veg if you need an excuse.

As seen at the OZCFM:

The magical Moro Gelato ice cream truck (pictured above). This truck seems like something that would spring fully formed from the mind of Walt Disney, and if you want a touch of magic with your ice cream you should definitely try it. Their sorbet is without a doubt the best I’ve tried. My favourite flavor so far is the nectarine.

Beautiful organic fruit and quirky vegetables:

The display of fruit, vegetables and flowers is gorgeous. Even the bitterest greens look appealing.

The latest in canine accessorizing, which I’m convinced is a thing. I secretly suspect that there is an underground hair salon offering matching ombre highlights for dogs and their owners. Surely that is the only way these people can match their pooches so perfectly:

The Mother City’s most stylish toddlers. These kids give me major wardrobe envy.
