Cavalli Estate is an artist’s dream come true. Rolling hills, beautiful lawns, pristine architecture. I was so excited to have an opportunity to paint there.
Even aside from the beautiful venue, the wedding itself was incredible. There were so many amazing and creative elements. I love seeing how many personal touches there are at every wedding I attend, and this one was right up my alley!
- Stunning outdoor ceremony with a mountain backdrop.
- Gorgeous hand beaded wedding dress.
- Super creative seating chart with intricate beakers of flowers.
- On site barista.
- Caricature artist to sketch the guests at cocktail hour.
- Moro Gelato ice cream cart for dessert.
- Amazing photographers and videographers.
I mean, they literally had some of the most creative wedding touches ever!
They also had a truly beautiful ceremony which was so special to paint. The sermon was so heartfelt, and the priest draped the couple in ribbon to symbolize their union, and the fact that they are now one in the journey of life. It was truly unique and thought provoking, and the couple were radiant.
After the ceremony, I set up my easel next to the lake so that I could carry on painting through cocktail hour, and left it on display for most of the evening
I was lucky enough to have a chance to have my caricature done, by Marthinus Von Tee, which was awesome. It was so strange to be on the other side of the canvas, with someone capturing my portrait for a change!
One of the amazing things about painting weddings is meeting people. Everyone involved in this wedding, both guests of the couple and the vendors, were so friendly and welcoming. Chelsea Warren-Stone of Warren Stone Weddings, who planned this incredible wedding, really managed it amazingly, and it was so lovely working with her and her team.
Thanks so much to Jade and Thanasi for including me in your beautiful day!
